What is NLP?
NLP is actually very simple and very effective for long lasting change!
Neuro – Concerns the brain and the things that go on in your mind. Also the the rest of the neurological system including the 5 senses.
Linguistic – This relates to language both spoken and non-spoken ie. body language.
Programming – This is about your behaviour and your thinking patterns.
Neuro Linguistic Programming, (NLP) began as a model of how we communicate to ourselves and others and was developed by Dr Richard Bandler and John Grinder.
NLP is based on the principle that all behaviour has structure which can be modelled, learned, taught and changed (re-programmed). Practitioners can organise information and perceptions in ways that allow them to achieve results.
Each one of us is unique in the way we experience the world. The external world is far too rich in information for us to take in all of it. So our brain uses the five senses – seeing, hearing, feeling, smelling and tasting (called representational systems) to take in some information and leave out the rest – this way, we can “make sense” of the external world.
It is what we do with experience that makes the difference and what we think about we get! However, we can't make new choices until we find what does work.
NLP is a toolbox of stratigies to help you achieve your results. You may learn to tap into your inner potential using Anchoring and manage your emotional state. Also, how to take control of your life and steer the wheel of your own bus.
Awareness leads to choice. Our beliefs influence every moment of every day. Beliefs are self - fulfilling prophecies. Somehow you will find a way to achieve what you want.
Your unconscious mind is where it is at. It doesn’t know the difference between real and imaginary. Realising this can be life changing.
You have all the resources you need already to do and be whatever and whoever you want!
